  1. What army did Oliver Cromwell create?
  2. What language did the Celtic people speak?
  3. When did the UK formally leave the European Union?

These are original Pass Britain practice questions, not questions copied from the official test.

About the real exam

How the official exam works

The Life in the UK Test is a computer-based exam administered by through the official government service. It is required for many British citizenship and settlement applications, subject to the rules and exemptions for the individual route. The assessment consists of 24 multiple-choice questions drawn from the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents.

You have 45 minutes to complete it, and you need to answer at least 18 questions correctly (a 75% pass mark) to pass.

The questions above are drawn from the same topic areas as the real exam: government, history, culture, society, and everyday life.
