Preparing for test day in Cambridge
The Life in the UK Test is a computer-based exam with 24 multiple-choice questions and a 45-minute time limit. You need to answer at least 18 correctly (75%) to pass.
Arrive at the PSI Cambridge centre at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Bring valid photo ID — your biometric residence permit, passport, or accepted travel document. No phones, bags, or study materials are allowed in the test room.
You will receive your result on the same day. If you pass, a pass notification letter will be sent to you. If you do not pass, you can rebook after a 7-day waiting period.
